BENTON, Ky. (Aug. 22, 2011) – Led by PAA Angler of the Year Todd Auten of South Carolina, 15 PAA Tournament Series pros have qualified for the fifth annual Toyota Texas Bass Classic world championship.

The 15 anglers will receive invitations to the TTBC, which is Oct. 28-30 on Lake Conroe in Conroe, Texas. The anglers will have two weeks to accept or decline their berth. If any decline, the next angler in the Tournament Series point standings will be invited until the field is completed.

World championship of bass fishing, Forrest Wood Cup, returns to Lake Lanier, Detroit River back on the schedule

MINNEAPOLIS (June 15, 2011) – FLW Outdoors announced the 2012 Walmart FLW Tour schedule Wednesday. The 2012 season will feature 10 tournaments: six FLW Tour Majors and four FLW Tour Opens. The Forrest Wood Cup, the world championship of bass fishing, will return to Lake Lanier and the Gwinnett Center in Hall and Gwinnett Counties, Ga., following the tremendous success seen there in 2010.

GARLAND, Texas – Diet Mountain Dew pro Jason Christie won the inaugural Bass Pro Shops PAA All Star Series title with a three-day total of 61.93 pounds on Lake Ray Hubbard, bringing in a limit weighing 18.35 pounds on the final day to secure the win by four pounds.

GARLAND, Texas – Diet Mountain Dew pro Jason Christie of Oklahoma bolted into the lead Friday in the Bass Pro Shops PAA All Star Series after smashing Lake Ray Hubbard for a limit weighing 25.33 pounds and two-day total of 43.58.

“It was one of those days when it seemed like I could pull in anywhere and catch one,” Christie said.

GARLAND, Texas – Ranger pro Todd Auten of South Carolina leads the Bass Pro Shops PAA All Star Series on Lake Ray Hubbard after the first day with 22.96 pounds.

The field found a finicky bite on Ol’ Mother Hubbard, which didn’t completely open its cupboard. The big bass predicted by some pros and several locals didn’t fully materialize. Skeeter pro Harley Brigman of Texas landed the day’s big bass, an 8.34-pounder that snarfed a crankbait.
