A more savvy Kyle Fox is ready for the Elites: It is somewhat ironic that after only one season in the Bass Pro Shops Bassmaster Northern Opens, Florida-born and Southern-bred angler Kyle Fox made it into the 2012 Bassmaster Elite Series. The irony is sharper because his Northern success came after toiling four seasons in the closer-to-home Bassmaster Southern and Central Opens.

Florida angler’s victory fitting end to incredible story
SHREVEPORT, La. (May 22, 2011) – John Cox of DeBary, Fla., caught a five-bass limit weighing 7 pounds, 13 ounces Sunday to lead wire-to-wire and win $100,000 at the Walmart FLW Tour on the Red River presented by OFF! with a four-day catch of 20 bass weighing 48-8.

North Carolina’s McDonald Leads Co-anglers
SHREVEPORT, La. (May 19, 2011) – John Cox of Debary, Fla., crossed the stage Thursday with a five-bass limit weighing 14 pounds, 10 ounces to lead day one of the Walmart FLW Tour on the Red River presented by OFF! Cox now holds an 11-ounce lead over Mike Reynolds of Modesto, Calif., who caught five bass weighing 13-15 in a tournament featuring 280 anglers from all across the country.

Time management will be ‘critical’ for anglers
SHREVEPORT, La. (May 5, 2011) – The Walmart FLW Tour on the Red River presented by OFF! will visit Shreveport, La., May 19-22 for the fifth tournament of the season. Hosted by the Shreveport - Bossier City Regional Sports Authority, the tournament will feature as many as 300 top bass anglers casting for top awards up to $125,000 cash in the Pro Division and up to $25,000 cash in the Co-angler Division.
Federation’s Golightly headed to 3rd Championship

The third time’s the charm. Or so hopes Bill Golightly of Preston, Idaho. As a recent qualifier for the 2010 BASS Federation Nation Championship, Golightly is set for his third attempt at a Bassmaster Classic berth.
“For sure I want to make it to the Classic,” he said. “That’s what we’re all after.”
