The young B.A.S.S. Federation Nation qualifier blew a whistle on the Bassmaster Classic stage

He had a tough Bassmaster Classic tournament, but the Auburn Alabama bass angler talked frankly about being on the eventual big hot spot before making a late run to Venice while encountering rough water and the loss of fishing time while fishing such a challenging body of water.

A little video from the post-fishing day two press conference at the 2011 Bassmaster Classic on the Louisiana Delta. Kevin VanDam takes the lead with a huge 22-8 limit of bass. The video has been edited to highlight KVD though it wasn't difficult since many of the questions were targeted to the defending Classic champ.

Kevin VanDam, often described as the best angler in the world, said he simply got lucky Saturday when he hauled 22 1/2 pounds out of the Louisiana Delta on a day when other Bassmaster Classic anglers fishing beside him fell behind.
