Boater John Wright of Shelbyville, Ill., caught a two-day total of 10 bass weighing 31 pounds, 3 ounces Sept. 17-18 to win $3,893 plus a $2,000 Ranger Cup bonus in the Walmart BFL Illini Division tournament on Lake Shelbyville. Wright fished ledges and used a Zoom worm and PB&J jig.

Deep water key to bass fishing success on Lake Shelbyville
SHELBYVILLE, Ill. (Sept. 8, 2011) – The Walmart Bass Fishing League is headed to Lake Shelbyville Sept. 17-18 for its fifth and final stop in the Illini Division. This is a two-day super tournament where as many as 400 boaters and co-anglers will be competing for top awards up to $11,000 and $4,500, respectively.

Boater Jeremy Mull of Chatham, Ill., caught four bass weighing 14 pounds, 2 ounces April 30 to win $3,028 in the BFL Illini Division tournament on Lake Shelbyville. The next BFL Illini Division tournament is scheduled for June 11 on Rend Lake in Benton, Ill.
