Fifth in points in the 2011 Bass Pro Shops Bassmaster Central Open circuit, Miller could earn an Elite Series invitation if he does well at this week’s season finale on Table Rock Lake, Oct. 20-22 out of Branson, Mo.

DECATUR, Ala. — Most David Walker fans automatically assume he’s won a major tournament in his career, and now they are correct.
Amassing a Wheeler Lake catch of 63 pounds, 10 ounces the Sevierville, Tenn., pro took possession Sunday of the Bassmaster Elite Series Dixie Duel trophy, his first win in a premier circuit.

LAGRANGE, Ga. — A shad bite, a common fishing pattern, can take on many variations. One twist is the spawning shad bite, important this week for several of the Bassmaster Elite Series anglers competing on West Point Lake in the Pride of Georgia.
Dean Rojas closes on fourth Bassmaster win by 1 ounce

MANY, La. — As they met backstage, Dean Rojas and Gerald Swindle shook hands, then gave each other a man hug. Both smiled graciously, both teared up a little.
It was hard to tell who had just beat who, but it was Rojas who had bested Swindle by 1 ounce in the TroKar Battle on the Bayou. Rojas secured a wire-to-wire win, his second Bassmaster Elite Series victory. It was his fourth Bassmaster career win, one of which, like Sunday’s win, was on Toledo Bend Reservoir.

MANY, La. — He has led for three days running, amassing 57 pounds and 7 ounces of Toledo Bend bass, so there’s no reason Dean Rojas shouldn’t believe he can close the deal Sunday in the TroKar Battle on the Bayou.
