Saturday, February 18th is the date for this year’s NBAA Day at D&R Sports. This year along with special seminars, raffles and great 1 day deals on selected tackle items from D&R Sports, NBAA will also be holding their annual Super Big Bass and Angler of the Year drawings. Anglers from across NBAA who have captured big bass honors or who have qualified for the angler of the year drawings in 2011 will have a chance to win thousands in cash and prizes.

Christiansen wins co-angler title
REDDING, Calif. (Jan. 28, 2012) – K.C. Harris of Shasta Lake, Calif., weighed a five-bass limit totaling 11 pounds, 1 ounce Saturday to win the EverStart Series Western Division event on Lake Shasta with a three-day total of 15 bass weighing 42 pounds, 2 ounces. For his victory, Harris earned $29,918.

REDDING, Calif. (Jan. 28, 2012) – The Oregon State University team of Zach MacDonald, of Willits, Calif. and William Sparks, of Corvallis, Ore. won the National Guard FLW College Fishing West Conference event on Lake Shasta Saturday with five bass weighing 9 pounds, 4 ounces. The victory earned the team $5,000. The win also helped them advance to the West Conference Regional Championship.

The Power Pole Tour is expanding and continues to grow. The Power Pole tour now includes the Hawkeye state of Iowa. One of the largest divisions in all of NBAA, the Iowa Premier Bass Challenge Division (IPB) has some exciting news they’d like to share. Orlando, Fla. -- Chris Lane of Guntersville, Ala., made it look easy on Florida’s Harris Chain of Lakes in the kick-off event of the 2012 Bass Pro Shops Southern Open series. As the only angler to weigh in 20 or more pounds of bass each day on the way to his third B.A.S.S. win with a three-day total of 72-11 pounds. Clifford Pirch of Payson, Ariz., finished second with 58-1.
