Saturday, February 18th is the date for this year’s NBAA Day at D&R Sports. This year along with special seminars, raffles and great 1 day deals on selected tackle items from D&R Sports, NBAA will also be holding their annual Super Big Bass and Angler of the Year drawings. Anglers from across NBAA who have captured big bass honors or who have qualified for the angler of the year drawings in 2011 will have a chance to win thousands in cash and prizes.

The quiet veteran from South Carolina came here two years ago and won a storm-shortened PAA Tournament Series event in spring. Twenty-eight months later, in the heat of summer, Auten returned last week to make a run at another title.

Shuffield Claims Co-Angler Honor

FLORENCE, Ala. (July 25, 2011) – Castrol pro David Dudley of Lynchburg, Va., wrapped up his season-long quest for the Walmart FLW Tour Angler of the Year title Sunday at the FLW Tour event presented by AMP Energy on Pickwick Lake. Dudley, who received $100,000 for the title, joins fellow FLW Tour anglers Clark Wendlandt (2009, 2000,1997) and Jay Yelas (2007, 2002) as the only anglers to win multiple Walmart FLW Tour Angler of the Year titles. Dudley’s first title came in 2008.

This Father’s Day, June 19, 2011, the Toyota Tundra Bassmaster Angler of the Year will be crowned at Ingalls Harbor during the final weigh-in of the 2011 Bassmaster Elite Series Dixie Duel tournament in Decatur, Ala., and to help celebrate, country music artist Colt Ford will perform a free, live 90-minute concert.

2010 Angler of the Year & Super Big Bass Drawings Results!

On hand for his first NBAA overall Angler of the Year title was Andrew Solomon. Andrew came close last year and decided that 2010 would be his year. For winning the overall Angler of the Year title, Andrew won himself a Power Pole shallow water anchoring system. Plus, he won a great plaque sponsored by Wrangler Rugged Wear.
