MINNEAPOLIS (Aug. 11, 2010) – FLW Outdoors announced that Beaver Lake has been added to the 2011 Walmart FLW Tour schedule. The Walmart Open, which will be held March 3-6 in Rogers, Ark., will begin the 2011 FLW Tour Majors season.

Escanaba, Mich. -- Gerald Woodard finishes 6th overall and tops the Michigan state team with a 3 day total of 12 bass weighing 41 pounds 9 ounces to move on to the next level. Overall 2010 BASS Federation Nation Northern Divisional Champion is Ohio's Brian Mailot with 13 bass weighing 47 pounds 3 ounces from Little Bay de Noc and Lake Michigan waters. MINNEAPOLIS (Aug. 10, 2010) – FLW Outdoors announced Wednesday that Charlie Evans has stepped down as President and CEO. The announcement comes following a highly successful Forrest Wood Cup in Duluth, Ga., where Walmart announced a new long-term title sponsorship agreement and FLW Outdoors Chairman Irwin L. Jacobs introduced T. Boone Pickens as a new equity partner in the company.

MINNEAPOLIS (Aug. 9, 2010) – FLW Outdoors announced that it has agreed to a long-term sponsorship with Walmart to become the title sponsor of FLW Outdoors, beginning in 2011. Per FLW Outdoors’ policy, terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
This new partnership will serve as a key component in combining several marketing and promotional opportunities including, but not limited to, Walmart in-store product marketing and promotions, retailtainment at fishing tournaments and at Walmart stores, and advertising and marketing through FLW Outdoors’ worldwide media owned outlets.

West Coast Transplant Uses Local Knowledge as Key to Victory
DULUTH, Ga. (Aug. 8, 2010) – Kevin Hawk, originally of Ramona, Calif., but recently of Buford, Ga., crossed the stage with a five-bass limit weighing 14 pounds, 13 ounces Sunday to claim the title of Forrest Wood Cup champion on Lake Lanier. Hawk, with a four-day total of 20 bass for 50-14, won by a 2-pound, 6-ounce margin over Cody Meyer of Grass Valley, Calif., who caught five bass weighing 9-13 for a four-day total of 20 bass for 48-8. Sunday’s final weigh-in marked the finale of the 2010 Forrest Wood Cup, which featured 78 of the world’s best professional bass anglers.

DULUTH, Ga. (Aug. 8, 2010) – Kevin Hawk of Ramona, Calif., took home the most prestigious title in bass fishing with a 5-bass limit weighing 14 pounds, 13 ounces for a total of 20 bass, 50-14 to win the 2010 Forrest Wood Cup on Lake Lanier. Hawk won the tournament by 2-pounds, 6-ounces and took home $600,000.
