TRENTON, Mich. (Aug. 18, 2010) – The FLW Bass Fishing League is headed to the Detroit River Aug. 28, 2010 for the fourth of five stops in the Michigan Division series. As many as 400 boaters and co-anglers will compete for top awards of up to $8,000 and $3,000, respectively.

Pristine Fishery Offers Unique Fishing Opportunity
LA CROSSE, Wis. (Aug. 18, 2010) – The FLW Bass Fishing League is headed to the Mississippi River/La Crosse Aug. 28-29, 2010 for the fifth and final stop in the Great Lakes Division series. As many as 400 boaters and co-anglers will compete for top awards of up to $11,000 and $4,500, respectively.

Classic hopes float

The race is on for the remaining 13 berths in the 2011 Bassmaster Classic
Six of those 13 qualifiers will come from the Bass Pro Shops Bassmaster Opens (two from each division: Northern, Southern and Central). Another six will come from the BASS Federation Nation Championship in late October. The 50th and final will be decided Nov. 6. That angler will be the 2010 champion of the Toyota Tundra Bassmaster Weekend Series operated by American Bass Anglers.

Scott Bateman of Washington, Ind., caught a 5-bass limit weighing 14 pounds, 15 ounces Saturday, Aug. 14, 2010 to win $2,985 in the FLW BFL Hoosier Division tournament on Lake Monroe. Under cloudy skies he was fishing wooded areas on the main lake with a 10” worm in 2-4 feet of water to sack his limit.

Eastern Division Tournament to Feature Top Bass Anglers from 35 States and Canada
PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. (Aug. 11, 2010) – The FLW Series will visit Lake Champlain in Plattsburgh, N.Y., Aug. 25 – 28 for the third of four stops in the Eastern Division circuit. Hosted by the City of Plattsburgh – New York, the tournament will feature as many as 300 top bass anglers casting for top awards up to $50,000 in the Pro Division and a Ranger 177TR with a 90 horsepower Evinrude or Yamaha outboard in the Co-angler Division.

MINNEAPOLIS (Aug. 11, 2010) – FLW Outdoors announced that Beaver Lake has been added to the 2011 Walmart FLW Tour schedule. The Walmart Open, which will be held March 3-6 in Rogers, Ark., will begin the 2011 FLW Tour Majors season.
