Most beloved and predictable lake on FLW Tour will feature some of the best pros in bass fishing

PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. (Aug. 31, 2011) – The Walmart FLW Tour on Lake Champlain presented by Snickers Peanut Butter Squared will visit Plattsburgh, N.Y., Sept. 15-18 for the ninth tournament of the season. Hosted by the City of Plattsburgh – New York and the Adirondack Coast Visitors & Convention Bureau, the tournament will feature as many as 310 top bass anglers casting for top awards up to $125,000 cash in the Pro Division and up to $25,000 cash in the Co-angler Division.

World championship of bass fishing, Forrest Wood Cup, returns to Lake Lanier, Detroit River back on the schedule

MINNEAPOLIS (June 15, 2011) – FLW Outdoors announced the 2012 Walmart FLW Tour schedule Wednesday. The 2012 season will feature 10 tournaments: six FLW Tour Majors and four FLW Tour Opens. The Forrest Wood Cup, the world championship of bass fishing, will return to Lake Lanier and the Gwinnett Center in Hall and Gwinnett Counties, Ga., following the tremendous success seen there in 2010.

Top weekend anglers competing for $130,000 and spot in Forrest Wood Cup

SHREVEPORT, La. (May 10, 2011) – One of the longest running championships in all of competitive bass fishing, the Walmart BFL All-American presented by Chevy, will visit Cross Lake in Shreveport, La., May 19-21. Hosted by the Shreveport-Bossier City Regional Sports Authority, the tournament will feature the top 49 boaters and top 49 co-anglers from across the country casting for top awards of up to $130,000 in the Boater Division and $60,000 in the Co-angler Division plus the opportunity to compete in the 2011 Forrest Wood Cup presented by Walmart on Lake Ouachita, Aug. 11-14.

Boater Willie Rentmeister of Mount Pulaski, Illinois, caught a five-bass limit weighing 20 pounds, 13 ounces March 5 to win $4,279 in the BFL LBL Division tournament on Kentucky/Barkley lakes. Ryan Deal of Haubstadt Indiana took 2nd with five bass for 18-2 winning $2,140.

Great time of year to fish Kentucky/Barkley lakes

HARDIN, Ky. (Feb. 23, 2011) – The Walmart Bass Fishing League is headed to Kentucky/Barkley lakes March 5 for the first of five stops in the LBL Division. As many as 400 boaters and co-anglers will be competing for top awards up to $9,500 and $3,000, respectively.

Positive Changes to Paybacks, Tournament Format, Logo Policy
