Kyler Chelminiak and Nicholas Peterson from Whitnall High School, Wisconsin won the High School Central Regional tournament held on Kinkaid Lake Saturday. TBF along with FLW Outdoors held the high school tournament in conjunction with the FLW College Fishing Central Regional.

Fight Back Against DeGray Lake to Earn the 2011 National Guard Junior World Championship Titles
Yesterday’s blue-bird skies were long gone today as a strong cloud cover, temperature drop, and spike in humidity took over on the final day of the 2011 National Guard Junior World Championship on DeGray Lake presented by the National Guard. Nicholas Deering and Derek Davis held the top spots in their respected divisions going into the final day but not overall. Today, they went out to prove they were in fact the best of the best. Both Deering and Davis received $3,000 in scholarships, a $1,000 Berkley Sponsorship offer, and the most esteemed titles in youth fishing, the 2011 National Guard Junior World Champions.

12 TBF Junior Elite Advance to Final Day Contest
Fishing was tough on TBF’s 82 Junior State Champions today as they went head to head on day one of the 2011 National Guard Junior World Championship on DeGray Lake presented by the National Guard. A 13-16 inch slot rule for largemouth bass forced several anglers to throw back keepers and left many short of a bite. Anglers from 41 different states traveled to face off in this national contest knowing today it was all or nothing to decide who would advance.

Ponca City, Okla. (June 29, 2011) – The Bass Federation (TBF), in partnership with FLW Outdoors, announced it will be hosting the inaugural Student Angler Federation Pennsylvania High School Fishing State Championship, Sunday, August 28 at Presque Isle State Park, Lake Erie, MI at the West Pier boat launch in Presque Isle Bay. The state championship is a two person team event for students in grades 9-12. Registration for high school anglers and their “coach,” who will provide the boat they compete in, is open online at HighSchoolFishing.org or by calling 580.765.9031.

WHEELING, W. Va. (Aug. 6, 2011) – Sgt. Ralph Fritter of Wheeling, W. Va., and Sgt. Shawn Selmon of Bellaire, Ohio, won the National Guard FLW Soldier Appreciation Tournament held on the Ohio River Saturday. The team, fishing with W. Va. Bass Federation pro Dan Welch of New Martinsville, W. Va., caught six bass for a total of 7 pounds to take the title and bragging rights amongst their peers.

Fourteen Division Champions Advance
KIMBALL, Tenn.,(April 15, 2011)- Torrential downpours didn’t stop the show today as 94 TBF State Champion anglers fought until the bitter end on day two of the 2011 Federation National Championship presented by National Guard on Lake Nickajack in Kimball, Tenn. Fourteen TBF anglers advanced to the final round to vie for the National Champion titles and they put it all on the line today through the elements and came out 2011 Division Champions and earned berths in the Walmart BFL All-American presented by Chevy.
