BRANSON, Mo. — Janet Parker fell out of contention Friday for a Bassmaster Elite Series berth in 2012.
The bass pro from Little Elm, Texas, finished in 100th place in the Bass Pro Shops Bassmaster Central Open on Table Rock Lake, knocking her out of the top five in the circuit’s points race. She was aiming to garner a top-5 invitation to turn Elite and become the first female Elite pro in the sport’s history.

Walmart FLW Tour Event On Table Rock Lake Canceled

MINNEAPOLIS (April 27, 2011) — FLW Outdoors announced Wednesday that the upcoming Walmart FLW Tour event on Table Rock Lake has been canceled due to historic flooding in southwest Missouri. The tournament was originally slated for May 5-8. In regards to rescheduling the event, FLW Outdoors officials are exploring various options. Further details will be announced as they become available.
Bass Pro Shops Bassmaster Central Open Postponed

The Bass Pro Shops Bassmaster Central Open on Table Rock Lake has been postponed until the fall, and will most likely be rescheduled for October 2011.
Capt. Gary Haupt with the Water Patrol Division of the Missouri State Highway Patrol said that all events on Table Rock Lake have been canceled through Sunday, May 1. The Marine Patrol cited public safety and property damage concerns as the main reasons for revoking the permits that are needed to hold tournaments on the lake.

According to Table Rock Lake guru Sammy Burks, the second 2011 Bass Pro Shops Bassmaster Central Open should showcase the kind of fishing that the southwestern Missouri impoundment is capable of. He says anglers will be able to catch what they want any way that they want.
