HOT SPRINGS, Ark. (Aug. 14, 2011) – National Guard pro Scott Martin of Clewiston, Fla., crossed the stage with a five-bass limit weighing 14 pounds, 5 ounces Sunday to claim the title of Forrest Wood Cup champion on Lake Ouachita. Martin, with a four-day total of 20 bass for 61-1, won by a 4-pound, 10-ounce margin over EverStart pro Randall Tharp of Gardendale, Ala., who caught five bass weighing 15-1 for a four-day total of 20 bass weighing 56-7, which was good for $100,000. Sunday’s final weigh-in marked the finale of the 2011 Forrest Wood Cup, which featured 58 of the world’s best professional bass anglers. Martin won $600,000 plus a $1,000 Power-Pole bonus.

(Aug. 13, 2011) – National Guard pro Scott Martin of Clewiston, Fla., crossed the stage with a five-bass limit weighing 16 pounds, 1 ounce to lead day three of the Forrest Wood Cup presented by Walmart on Lake Ouachita. Martin, with a three-day total of 15 bass for 46-12, holds a 4-pound, 14-ounce lead over Chevy pro Luke Clausen of Spokane, Wash., who weighed five bass weighing 16-3 for a three-day total of 15 bass for 41-14. The Forrest Wood Cup, a tournament featuring 58 of the world’s best professional bass anglers, will be decided between the top 10 pros fishing Sunday.

ROGERS, Ark. (March 5, 2011) – Pfc. Kyle Lowdermilk of Greenwood, Ark., and Pfc. Tyler Bacon of Conway, Ark., won the National Guard FLW Soldier Appreciation Tournament held on Beaver Lake Saturday. The team, fishing with National Guard pro Scott Martin, caught three bass for a total of 7 pounds, 10 ounces to take the title and bragging rights amongst their peers.
