2011 Tracker Marine Owners Event

The 2011 Tracker Marine Owners Event was a big success. Everything started the night before at the Auburn Hills Bass Pro Shops. All anglers that attended this special meeting received some great items to kick off their owners event experience. The anglers received in their gift bag a Bass Pro Shops coffee mug, key chain, t-shirt, candy, 15% off discount card, and a $20 gift card to Bass Pro Shops. This bag of items was valued at nearly $50. Needless to say, everyone did some shopping after the meeting.

Arnold Payne Jr., wins co-angler title

DETROIT, Mich. (July 16, 2011) – Mark Modrak of China Township, Mich., weighed a five-bass limit totaling 20 pounds, 7 ounces Saturday to win the EverStart Series Central Division on the Detroit River with a three-day total of 15 bass weighing 58 pounds, 15 ounces. For his victory, Modrak earned $32,913 and a 198VX Ranger boat with a 200-horsepower Evinrude or Mercury outboard motor.

Smallmouth bass will be prime for catching

DETROIT, Mich. (July 6, 2011) – The EverStart Series is headed to the Detroit River July 14-15 for the third of four stops in the Central Division. The tournament will feature as many as 300 pros and co-anglers competing for top awards up to $35,000 plus a Ranger boat with an Evinrude or Mercury outboard for the pro and a Ranger boat with an Evinrude or Mercury outboard plus $5,000 for the co-angler.

Boater Scott Dobson of Clarkston, Mich., caught a five-bass limit weighing 23 pounds, 12 ounces June 25 to win $3,514 plus a $2,000 Ranger Cup and $1,000 Evinrude bonus in the Walmart BFL Michigan Division tournament on the St. Clair River. Dobson was targeting spawn and pre-spawn bass on sand flats with jerkbaits, spinnerbaits and tubes to catch his limit.

Skip Johnson, Jeff Cox take Top Honors

You can sum up the NBAA 2011 Lake St Clair Open with one word – AMAZING! 81 teams took to Lake St Clair this past Saturday at the annual open. With expectations high and the smallmouth of St Clair cooperating the bite was unbelievable. An astounding 70 limits came to the scales. The team that topped them all was Jeff Cox and Skip Johnson. Jeff & Skip weighed in a huge limit of smallmouth that topped the scales at just over 23 lbs. Their big bag of bass was worth two great plaques and a check for $5000.00.

If you’d like to be part of the Tracker Marine Owners Tournament, keep reading. This special event will take place on Lake St Clair on July 16th ramping out of the Harley Ensign boat ramp. To be eligible to compete in this event you must fish from a Tracker, Nitro, Mako, Tahoe, Sun Tracker or Pro Craft boat. The owner of the boat must accompany the boat that the team is fishing from.
