PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. (Sept. 17, 2011) – Walmart FLW pro David Wolak of Wake Forest, N.C., caught a five-bass limit weighing 19 pounds, 13 ounces Saturday to capture the lead at the Walmart FLW Tour on Lake Champlain presented by Snickers Peanut Butter Squared. With a three-day catch of 15 bass weighing 61-9, he now holds a 2-pound, 8-ounce lead in the tournament going into the final day of competition.

PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. (Sept. 17, 2011) –Sgt. 1st Class Tim Cunningham of Willington, Vt., and Spc. Ray Rawling of West Minister, Vt., won the National Guard FLW Soldier Appreciation Tournament held on Lake Champlain Saturday. The team, fishing with National Guard pro Jonathan Newton of Rogersville, Ala., caught three bass for a total of 11 pounds, 2 ounces to take the title and bragging rights amongst their peers.

Alabama’s Martin Leads Co-anglers
PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. (Sept. 16, 2011) – Gary Yamamoto of Palestine, Texas, caught a five-bass limit weighing 17 pounds, 8 ounces Friday to maintain his lead on day two of the Walmart FLW Tour on Lake Champlain. His two-day catch of 10 bass weighing 41 pounds, 12 ounces matches the second-place angler’s weight, but Yamamoto’s heavier day-one weight breaks the tie. Pros and co-anglers from across the United States and Canada started the tournament and the top 20 will fish day three and the top 10 will compete for the title on day four.

PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. (Aug. 31, 2011) – The Walmart FLW Tour on Lake Champlain presented by Snickers Peanut Butter Squared will visit Plattsburgh, N.Y., Sept. 15-18 for the ninth tournament of the season. Hosted by the City of Plattsburgh – New York and the Adirondack Coast Visitors & Convention Bureau, the tournament will feature as many as 310 top bass anglers casting for top awards up to $125,000 cash in the Pro Division and up to $25,000 cash in the Co-angler Division.

PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. (June 25, 2011) – Adrian Avena of Vineland, N.J., weighed a five-bass limit totaling 20 pounds, 3 ounces Saturday to win the EverStart Series Northern Division event on Lake Champlain with a three-day total of 15 bass weighing 58 pounds. For his victory, Avena earned $29,153.

PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. (June 25, 2011) – The Fairmont State University team of Brent Dodrill of Fairmont, W. Va., and Wil Dieffenbauch of Hundred, W.Va., won the National Guard FLW College Fishing Northern Division on Lake Champlain Saturday with five bass weighing 16 pounds, 2 ounces. The victory earned the team $10,000 to be split between the university and the university’s bass fishing club - $7,500 for the bass club and $2,500 for their school. The win also helped them advance to the Northern Division Regional Championship.
