BRP, Through Its Evinrude Brand, Intends to Continue to Offer a Contingency Program
MINNEAPOLIS (Nov. 16, 2009) – FLW Outdoors and BRP have signed a new multi-year agreement, marking their 9th consecutive year as a sponsor of FLW Outdoors. FLW Outdoors also confirmed that they have settled their lawsuit with BRP out of court. BRP, through its Evinrude brand remains an official sponsor and intends to continue, as it did in recent years, to offer a contingency program to reward anglers. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

MINNEAPOLIS (Nov. 10, 2009) – FLW Outdoors, the world’s leading tournament fishing organization, announced Tuesday that Rapala will become an official sponsor of FLW Outdoors in 2010. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Rounds takes Co-Angler title, $35,000
FLORENCE, Ala. (Nov. 7, 2009) – Mark Rose of Marion, Ark., never gave away the lead at the Stren Series Championship on Pickwick Lake and weighed five fish Saturday for 17 pounds, 6 ounces to win the title and $115,000. Rose finished with a three-day total of 15 fish weighing 55-1.

Cabela’s Will Offer Angler Cash Contingency Program in 2010
MINNEAPOLIS (Nov. 4, 2009) – FLW Outdoors announced Wednesday that Cabela’s, the World’s Foremost Outfitter®, has formed a major partnership across all platforms of FLW Outdoors and its 189 tournaments, including a significant contingency award program. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

GILBERTSVILLE, Ky. (Oct. 19, 2009) – Dick Shaffer of Rockford, Ohio, won the Walmart Bass Fishing League Kentucky/Barkley Lakes Regional Championship Saturday with a three-day 15-bass catch weighing 50 pounds, 9 ounces. The victory earned Shaffer a ®Ranger 198VX boat with a choice of a 200 horsepower Evinrude or Yamaha motor and a Chevrolet 1500 Silverado. The win also helped him qualify for the 2010 BFL All-American to be held in Davenport, Iowa, May 27-30, 2010, on the Mississippi River where he could ultimately win a top prize of $140,000 and a trip to the 2010 Forrest Wood Cup.
“This was a great win,” said Shaffer, who won the 2006 BFL Kentucky Lake Regional Championship. “In these multi-day events you have to find more fish than you do for a one-day tournament and hope the area has enough fish for all three days.

Second Michigan BFL Win in a Row for GreatLakesBass.com Member Trombly
TRENTON, Mich. (Sept. 21, 2009) – Michael Trombly of Perrysburg, Ohio, won the Walmart Bass Fishing League® final Michigan Division tournament on the Detroit River Sunday with a two-day 10-bass catch weighing 48 pounds, 14 ounces. The victory earned Trombly $4,806.
Anglers were competing to qualify for the Fort Madison Regional Championship in Fort Madison, Iowa, Oct. 1-3, where they could ultimately win a new Ranger boat and a Chevy truck.
“This was a great weekend,” said Trombly. “I didn’t get a lot of bites, but the bites I did get were big and good. On Sunday I ended up culling a 5-pound fish; it was just an awesome day.”
