BRANSON, Mo. — Janet Parker fell out of contention Friday for a Bassmaster Elite Series berth in 2012.
The bass pro from Little Elm, Texas, finished in 100th place in the Bass Pro Shops Bassmaster Central Open on Table Rock Lake, knocking her out of the top five in the circuit’s points race. She was aiming to garner a top-5 invitation to turn Elite and become the first female Elite pro in the sport’s history.

Janet Parker, Lisa Sternard, Jan Heavener, Sabrina Thompson and Debra Hengst are among the former Women’s Bassmaster Tour anglers who now compete in the Bass Pro Shops Bassmaster Central Open tour.
At last week’s Open on Lewisville Lake in Texas, Parker of Little Elm, Texas, posted a sixth-place finish in a field of 159 pros. She made it into the exclusive Top 12 cut for the final day.

Expired insurance policy delays his final day takeoff
LEWISVILLE, Texas — In a squeaker on Texas’ Lewisville Lake, Mark Tucker of St. Louis found 12 pounds and an ounce worth of bass to take home his first B.A.S.S. win, $10,000, a Skeeter/Yamaha boat-and-motor package and a berth in the 2012 Bassmaster Classic. His total after three days was 45-15.

LEWISVILLE, Texas — Mark Tucker, who spent the last 10 years on the Bassmaster Elite Series, found a cozy, out-of-way place Friday on Lake Lewisville.
The angler from St. Louis snuck 16 pounds, 10 ounces to the scales for the Day 1 lead at the first 2011 Bass Pro Shops Bassmaster Central Open. With 159 boats, the 29,000-acre lake is fishing small, so Tucker had plenty of company on a day that saw rain showers and clearing with afternoon winds steady at 25 mph.
