The first West Michigan Power Pole recently kicked off on Muskegon Lake. This inaugural event drew in 56 teams from Michigan and surrounding states. Despite the extreme high winds teams were able to get out and find the fish, and find the fish they did. 49 of the 56 teams weighed in at least one fish and over 30 limits were brought to the scales.

The Bassmaster Elite Series Mystery Lake location for the June 28-July 1 tournament has been a mystery to pros and fans alike since the surprise was announced last summer. Christiansen wins co-angler title
REDDING, Calif. (Jan. 28, 2012) – K.C. Harris of Shasta Lake, Calif., weighed a five-bass limit totaling 11 pounds, 1 ounce Saturday to win the EverStart Series Western Division event on Lake Shasta with a three-day total of 15 bass weighing 42 pounds, 2 ounces. For his victory, Harris earned $29,918.

REDDING, Calif. (Jan. 28, 2012) – The Oregon State University team of Zach MacDonald, of Willits, Calif. and William Sparks, of Corvallis, Ore. won the National Guard FLW College Fishing West Conference event on Lake Shasta Saturday with five bass weighing 9 pounds, 4 ounces. The victory earned the team $5,000. The win also helped them advance to the West Conference Regional Championship.
