Easiest to get off at the Metro Beach Metropolitan Parkway exit east (Exit 236 - also known as 16 Mile Rd) and take that road to the entrance of Metro Beach. Turn left at the last traffic light before you enter Metro Beach Metropark on to Jefferson Ave.

Jefferson ends at South River Rd. Take a right on to South River Rd and follow it to until the road ends at the MDNR Harley Ensign public access site - huge site. Sharp right going into the ramp at the check station so slow down near the last marina.

I'll try to set up near the middle of the lot not too far from the bathroom facility.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

Uh... isn't that what I just said???  ha ha ha someone's not paying attention. ;D

BTW - Near the bathroom is good.  The older some of us get... well, you know...

Take I-94 to Exit 236.  This is the Metro Parkway (16 Mile) exit.  Head East until you reach the entrance to Metro Beach.  That is Jefferson Ave.  Turn left (North) and take Jefferson approx. 1 mile until it ends at South River Road.  Turn right (East) and take S. River until it dead ends at Harley Ensign DNR ramp.

If you're coming from 696, take until it hits 94 and go left (East) onto 94.  Metro Parkway is about 5 miles up.

Yes... that's why I didn't spell it out (and possibly related to why I posted an answer to an already answered question... besides, some people need reinforcement - talking about the directions. Not the other)

Thats where we launch our club tournaments from, but never driving myself, I never paid attention. So thanks for the directions REVTRO and the CONFIRMATION directions Dan.

Anybody coming thru the Howell area need a rider for gas money?
Remember you don't quit fishing when you get old, you get old when you quit fishing

djkimmel

Yeah... that's what I was doing the whole time... a CONFIRMATION post.

Bill, I pass Howell on my way to the lake. I come I-96 from M-52. There's plenty of room for you if you're interested.

MIBasser

Hey guys & gals.  First post, so yes I'm a newbie...  Looking to meet some new people and get on the water and fish.  Anyway, I would like to come to the DK Open as a non-boater.  Oh, great forum!

Okay, I fixed it. I meant to say I-96 (not I-69). That seems to happen more frequently these days.

69 has more possibilities than 96. :o
See you on the 10th......... ;)
Original song and lyrics by "MadWags"

What's with the news these days on the TV and the radio. Can't find the truth amongst the lies. Some talking head that claims to live their life in a better way, says I have to compromise. But now there's something on the rise. Truth has opened up my eyes. There's no running from your dirty lies. You can't avoid the truth. I'll no longer close my eyes.

dashaver63

Huh...what? 69th at 10? AM or PM? Wait, I'm so confused. Since you're so good at CONFIRMING things Dan..........

motocross269

AAAAAGHHHHH!!!!!!....
Now I am really confused...........LOL
Dan, on an earlier post you said that "Golden Rules were good"
Does that mean that we are good on golden rules and you have enough or that if we "have" the golden rules with the marks they are good???  I looked at the Gander Mtn in Flint and in Utica, no golden rules with the little hash marks...Does anyone know if they have them at BPS???

Hooksetter

Check Dick's Sports, that is where I got mine last year.

Peace.
It does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble or hard work. It means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart.
