OK, T-minus 3 weeks and counting. I have a LOT to do in those 3 weeks. How is everyone else coming? I dont HAVE to have the 997 mounted, but I would sure love to. Need to get the new prop on and the boat is ready. Not much to do there. Still have to go through and organize all the tackle, but if I concentrate on St Clair tackle, there isnt much there either. Have to respool 12 reels, but again, if I concentrate on St Clair only, I dont need that many. I have a club tourney on the 29th of this month, so everything will be checked out good. I'll worry about food the day before. Sorry guys, just trying to get it all straight in my head.

Your right.  That's too much to do in three weeks.  Just read the results of the MadWags Memorial on Greatlakesbass.com.
I'll be thinking of you getting your tackle and boat ready while I'm fishing.

Mike, do we have to give you a lesson in time management?  I was spooling line a couple weeks ago. Got some work to do to the truck, and I'm ready to go. I am pumped for the 12th. Can't wait.

mikesmiph

well, over 80 hours the last two weeks, and gone back to school, so its hard to manage what you dont have. I'll be there if I have to paddle.

Mike S.

I guess that would be tough. Back to school?  Good for you, Mike!

djkimmel

Mikesmiph isn't alone. I haven't touched my tackle yet. I do have an Amazon tackle box I could bring with me?!? I wonder if spring Lake St. Clair smallies like giant woodchoppers?!?

Good for you Mike, I know what it's like to try and juggle a full time job and school. Its not easy, but definitely worth it. I graduate on May 4th with a criminal justice law enforcement degree and have recently received a position with Marine City as a Reserve Officer and hope to work there after I go to the Academy next summer. We'll see you at the club tourney next week and I also can't wait for the 12th.

Yes, I seemed to remember a ding dong ditch em trick that left me wandering the neighborhood with TCook wondering where everybody went. Those East Side guys are like that.

Maybe... but you were the ONLY ding dong? Everyone else found the place just fine?? And I'm not an East Sider. I'm a Middle Sider. So is VinceR. And he found it? Maybe you West Siders need to practice some map reading??

All ribbing aside, we always want everyone to participate and have fun in all parts of this event.

Ends up I'm not going to make it. Have Fun!

Sorry to hear that. Guess I better do a list this evening and see where we are at.

I'm sorry Dan, but I kinda cheated. I actually grew up in Detroit, about 10 miles from the launch area (and even closer for a few years). I lived on Detroit's East Side for all of my 32 years there before I moved to the "Middle-Side" of the state.

Hello all I am new to this forum, just saw this tournament sounds lime alot of fun have a couple of questions 1-is there still openings for non-boater and 2-what waters are open?

Thanks
Dave

Mike S.

I can't say 100%, but Dan doesn't ever leave anybody out, so I'm sure there will be room somewhere. He does everything in his power to get everyone out there. We have a really good group of guys, so it all works very well.

As far as what waters are open, only Michigan waters. I do know that for a fact.
