What better day to talk fall bass fishing in Michigan than opening day of firearm deer season? Or so says AM Outdoors Radio host Duran Martinez.

I'm jealous!

Looks like nice guy and great angler (and GLBass member) Mike Trombly is leading the boater side after day one in the Michigan BFL on the Detroit River. He's usually tough this time of year particularly on the river and Lake Erie. I see several other GreatLakesBass.com members finished very high and even made the cut. More big old Great Lakes smallmouth bass being caught and brought in. I hope the wind wasn't blowing, and I hope it doesn't blow tomorrow.
Team Michigan Wins It All!
By djkimmel on Sep 14, 2008 | In 2008 TBF N Div Championship | 5 feedbacks »
A very eventful week is coming to an end. Team Michigan does their job at the TBF Northern Divisional Championship putting almost 500 pounds on the board for an 86 pound win over 2nd place Indiana. Michigan TBF member Derek Cummings wins the whole thing with over 63 pounds. Six of the top 11 anglers in the final standings are from the Michigan team - pretty good considering there are 6 states / teams.
