Coming Thursday, January 13 through Sunday January 16, 2011 to the Rock Financial Showplace in Novi Michigan, this year’s Ultimate Fishing Show promises to help us through the winter once again with tons of fishing tackle and outdoor goodies.

Coming Thursday, January 13 through Sunday January 16, 2011 to the Rock Financial Showplace in Novi Michigan, this year’s Ultimate Fishing Show promises to help us through the winter once again with tons of fishing tackle and outdoor goodies.

The Ultimate Fishing Show is the Midwest�s biggest pure-fishing show in America�s largest freshwater market. More than 150 booths of new rods, reels, lures and other tackle, plus outfitters, lodges, guides and charter fishing destinations are in the show, along with 200 new fishing boats representing 40 brands. Led by Kevin Van Dam (Saturday only), more than 75 free seminars are planned for novice to expert anglers. Seminars speakers and times to be announced soon.

Appealing to anglers of all ages and persuasions
The show attracts anglers of all ages and levels of experience. The Trout Pond will have live rainbows for kids to catch, and they can try their skills on the Virtual Fishing Simulator. Members of the Michigan B.A.S.S Federation Nation will host a free, Casting Kids Contest on the weekend.

Promotions and incentives galore
The first 500 attendees on Thursday and Friday receive a $6.95 commemorative Dardevle fishing spoon, compliments of Eppinger Manufacturing in Dearborn. The first 500 patrons on Saturday and Sunday claim a free fish scaler from Carlisle Float Company.

Admission is free on Thursday for patrons who bring 6 cans/boxes or 4 pounds of non-perishable food items to donate to the annual Michigan Sportsmen Against Hunger food drive.
