Made a quick trip up north last weekend 19th-21st. Fished several lakes around Traverse City and had minimal success. The water was 48-49 on the lakes we fished. Only caught a few day one and caught several 4.5 lbers day 2. Last morning only fished until 10:00 had to come home. Even with a slow bite still was a great time.  Goodluck to all still gettin out!

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

Are you the fellas I interrupted eating dinner at the Bellaire Bar Sunday night?

Heard the waitress ask a couple guys if they fished again that day and one dude was wearing a TW sweatshirt.  The other guy busted out his phone and I heard him say smallmouth.  I was up there for work, but I just had to have me some of that.  So I interrupted and we chatted about fishing awhile and showed off pictures and that kind of manly stuff we do.

That's it.  My guide fee just doubled!  So did my labor bill for the repair I had to help with.  Think I'll throw in some gas and electric charges for all the stuff I had to dry when I got home too.

:P

Let's hear about the repair you had to help with.  It's usually you that needs the repair water.  :)  Actually MikeS has your same luck.  LOLOL

Waterfoul

I'll let Mike tell you.  Or not.  It's his story.

A slight error in judgement landed the right fender of my trailer undeneath one of the side posts on the dock. My partner for the day was preoccupied and I figured I'd go ahead and launch the boat. Well, I got just a little too close and bent the crap out of my fender. We learned that a motor toter works pretty decent as a pry bar. It has something to do with that whole black cloud thing I'm sure.

djkimmel

Or not enough sleep? Maybe a need for an eye check? Not enough coffee? The dock moved?!?

I wish I could blame it on that. I messed up, was too excited. It's that whole Stupid Mike Stupid thing again.

Waterfoul

Yeah, smallies get me excited too!  Can't wait for Monday... rain, shine, cold, hot... doesn't matter!

Mike S.  For some reason I have been having the same problem this fall.  Haven't actually clipped the dock but after I backed it in and went to move it of the trailer I noticed how close I was.  Yikes.  I used to be pretty good at paralleling the dock.  Maybe it's my eyesite??  lolol

djkimmel

Depth perception changes in the fall. The air is heavier!

Champion, aka "the duck boat.". Sorry, I couldn't help myself. I know it's a year passed, but it's still funny.
