GRAND RAPIDS, MICH: ShowSpan, Inc., Michigan’s largest producer of consumer shows, today announced 2013 dates for its Ultimate Sport Show tour. The “Big Three” lineup includes two shows in the Detroit market and the state’s longest-running show in Grand Rapids.

Each year the Ultimate Sport Show tour attracts about 100,000 anglers, hunters, campers, boaters, conservationists and lovers of nature and the outdoors. Patrons come from throughout Michigan as well as Ohio, Indiana, Ontario and beyond.

“We’re very pleased with how the shows are coming together this year,” said show manager Adam Starr. “We’re ahead of where we were last year at this time and excited about selling out all of our exhibitor space. We’ve got some top-name talent coming in this year, including Kevin VanDam and Mark Zona, both nationally-known names and both will make appearances at Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi during the Ultimate Fishing Show in January.”

Again this year, Outdoorama patrons will receive free crossover admission to the 6th Annual Cottage and Lakefront Living Show – Detroit, which will run concurrently with Outdoorama at Suburban Collection Showplace in February.

“We’ve got a great lineup of expert speakers for all the shows, and we’re working hard to add more as the shows get closer,” said Starr, who added that he was also excited to see the Michigan Taxidermy Association returning to the Ultimate Sports Show Grand Rapids, at DeVos Place. “The taxidermy display is always a crowd pleaser and shows some of the best taxidermy work in the state. This is the only show that I know of that has a taxidermy competition on display.”
