Coldwater Lake Michigan Fishing Video
« on: March 25, 2023, 07:14:21 AM »

My day off fishing appears to be a wash again today with 50 mph winds and rain expected.  Here is Jim and my first trip last year on Coldwater Lake in southern Michigan.  Anyone else ever fish this lake before?

How cool is this, I like it very much. I used to hate fishing, but now, thanks to my husband, I can't do it without fishing.

Glad you liked it Beatrice.  Tight lines on the water this year.

Been a loooonnng time since I last fished the Coldwater Chain. Barely remember it now. I think I fished all or most of the lakes from one end to the other.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

It can be a tough cookie to crack in tournaments.  It usually takes about 12 lbs. to win.  Lake Drive use to have tournaments pretty regular.  I haven't fished one since the Benke Open on that chain.   Those were usually in August and it's a different animal then.

I have a cottage on marble, and now until mid june is the best time to fish on those lakes I think! Minimal traffic, and you can catch some nice fish throughout most of the lakes, with about any technique you would want.

I do love the deep fishing in the summer on that lake, but if you're up on a weekend, you have ALOT of traffic to contend with.
