Move went fine. The new server is much faster. Which is good!

I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

Ok 3 lakes and fish off all of them.
Thursday before Memorial day was Walloon Lake. Fished the north lake and did fairly well. A half doz cookie cutter 2 pounders backed up by a 5 pounder. All smallies and all came on willow leaf bladed chartruse spinnerbaits buzzed over the drop offs at the 12 foot mark. Water temps were low 60's

Friday last week was Long Lake in Traverse City. Put a few small smalies in the boat with the same set up as Walloon. Water temps were in the 59 to 60 degree mark. Tossed a few cranks and lipless cranks with no good outcome. Saw a few beds with tiny males sitting on them wating for something good to come by.

Today was my home lake. Birch Lake. Saw a good number of smallies up shallow. 10 to 5 foot range. They were very spooky and just cruzing around. Hooked up with a decent sized one , but lost it when I looked down to flip off the TM as it jumped. No beds as of yet and the water temps are in the 64 degree range.

Water temps around my area, Elk Rapids. Should be in the high 50's to the low-mid 60's by now. They should be staging of secondary drops ready for the moon to start it's cycle in the night sky again . Which starts this week late.

Good luck to all up here .
