Hey guys, I'm new but will be in here frequently now. I was just wondering if anyone has ever fished crooked lake near Clare?? Pretty good fishery, just wanted tips or tactics

djkimmel

I've fished at least 4 or 5 Crooked Lakes in Michigan, but not that one. Thanks for signing up and posting. Hopefully someone will come along with some info.

In the meantime, what is the lake like? Weeds, water color, bottom, depth, types of fish? We can probably generalize some things based on what you know.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

Hey Dan, I'm the Kid from Lansing, i e-mailed you earlier in the day. Curado Kev gave me your email addy. but anyways...lot's of milfoil, generally semi-clear,bottom is mucky, get's up to 70 ft. deep or so, LM Bass, Bluegills, Perch, N. Pike. Anyone with info let me know

djkimmel

Oh - ok. I emailed you some info back tonight.

Lots of milfoil. Sounds like a good early morning buzzbait lake. Sounds like a good lake to fish the deep edges of weed later in the day with a Carolina-rigged creature bait or jig-and-pig, looking for weed points, fingers, indents and holes.
