Anchor Bay - deeper cuts and cover near them. Docks. Ruins. Weed clumps.

I don't do it a lot either for quite a few years now. My best spots from back when disappeared with the lower water and I haven't put the effort into them to figure out where to go now.

Seems like every year more largies are being caught out on the weed edges out in the lake - the Mile Roads, out from the Clinton and Black, but I don't know how well you can get on and stay on those fish because I don't work at them.

There are some hot spots in the channels for largemouths, but some of them start fading about this time of year and again, I haven't put much time into figuring them out.

Lots of largemouth at times in the Walpole shallows and channels, if you can fish non-US waters. I have not gone after these fish in many seasons though hardly at all, so I don't know the exact status. I've caught a few good ones in the Chematogon and the Bassett.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

Lately it seems like the largemouth bite is slowing down a bit except for a few key areas.  They can be found, but I have yet to find the kind of weight that'll help in a tournament.  That's been my experience.  Seems like the canal bite is pretty much gone too during the past couple of weeks.

I've always had great luck with largemouths fishing the shorelines. If you leave out of Harley Ensign heading south and immediately go west towards the shoreline and throw worms in the weeds, against the sea walls and along the boat docks you will catch largemouths.

I have consistently caught limits doing that in mid summer the last 3 times I've been out there.

Hope that helps.
