I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Have you gotten the blacklights out yet?  Experiments like the one(s) you are doing are what makes these conversations so interesting.....

Although baitfish can omit UV. I have different theories on why that happens. I believe carnivorous fish have evolved to not see it like humans. So UV does not interest me.

There are quite a few pros and at least 2 entire bait companies that would disagree with you.  I've always read that fish can see the UV spectrum better than humans.
Addicted to fishing.  All the time, any species, anywhere!!  Especially in West Michigan!!!

Redbone

Bait companies only need to catch fisherman. Pros are just paid advertisements, for the most part. Maybe if I were fishing in very deep water I would show more interest. If that was really the ticket every company would be on that bandwagon.

DennisB.

Why are these so good? Is it the hunt, or the green spot.

thedude

buoyancy, wide wobble, they are inherently imperfect and therefore don't run like robots, silent.

i wish they didn't work.

Are they considered circuit card bills? Just trying to learn a little more about balsa vs the cheap plastic stuff

Thanks

BIGSHOW

Aren't Rapala's made of balsa?

thedude

some are. so are bagley's.

do some research about bagley's (they've been around since the 70s) and you'll learn very quickly that balsa (or foam) is small part of the equation.

I kind of want one of our homemade lure guys to fashion a lure out of fossilized cow manure and screw some hooks into for Mojo...

Hmmmmmmmm  I'd like to see that too.  lolol  :)

Basschief

Go with the 22 mag and the 44 mag, Lemonade, Emerald shiner and
Threadfin.  I to have strike king and C-flashes, but on smallies the c-flashes are much better.  Lets just say I've made converts to a lot of guys that never thought they would spend 22 bucks for a crank bait.

BIGSHOW

If. Just if I was to purchase one of these c flash "super baits". What would be a good color to start with? I'm a sucker for a good bait, rod, reel etc. no matter what the price

the woorden's flatfish or Yum dancin-eel are even better.

I think I have a couple ORIGINAl dance's eels. Do you want to buy them?!?

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

I would go natural. I would also buy 2. A baitfish color like shad, shiner, or goby. The other bait would be a crawfish color. The crawfish color crankbaits are what I like to throw in the spring. I like baitfish summer through fall although I will tie them on in any season.
