Move went fine. The new server is much faster. Which is good!

I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

I was driving down S. River Road the other day and saw this Ranger in the Harrison Marine repo yard. Thought I'd pass it along incase anyone's in the market.

So how does this work if your interested in it.....do you bid on it or is there a set price? Can you test the motor out? Thanks .....

Firefighter Jeff

Not sure how it works for boats, but my wife and I bought a repo from a bank lot.  It was a 3 month old GMC Jimmy.  They were staunch on their price, but it was pretty close to wholesale.  It was a great purchase  !!   ;)

Not sure how it works either, but I know you can bid on it. I'd probably be careful about running it and would want to empty the fuel. Some folks can get peeed when they know they're getting repo'd and sugar the tank. Looks to be in pretty good shape.

There is a couple of Repo lots on the north side of G.R.  You can get a real good deal if you have good timing.  You also have to know what your looking for, and what to look out for.  I purchased my Harley through the repo lot a few years ago and I definitely dont regret that.

Not sure how sugar would damage an outboard. Was watching Mythbusters one time and they put sugar in a gas tank. It had no effect on the engine.

Wow.  Every boat I have seen on the repo lot in GR has been beat down.  Missing props, electronics, ripped interior, and so on.  That boat looks to be in really nice shape.  I guess it all depends on timing, but I'm sure nice toys pass through there once in a while.  It would also be really nice if the repo lots would try to take better care of the vehicles they get.  I have noticed that they don't even take a few minutes to cover the boats and protect them from any kind of weather.  We have looked at several speedboats in GR, and they are full of water and dirt and so forth.  What a waste.  Good buys on Harley's though.  Those go indoors.

The repo Ranger is A-1 100% in every way.  I know the guy who had it and know of the story behind it.  I'm not sure if it even is truly a repo, and if it is, it isn't what you normally think of with the connotation "repo".  I considered it before it showed up on here and in the repo lot.  If it had a Yamaha, it would be in my garage.
