Went out there this evening, saw only one other bass boat and he had one of those power poles installed. I hit the spots that produced earlier in the year with no results, finally hit one other place and got a nice smallie, but that was it.
Anyway, did everybody leave this lake? I have not seen any conditions posted and not many others were there fishing. Anybody else fish it recently?

Has anyone been back into the connecting lake under the bridge (little island maybe??) I'm interested to see if the weeds took over or not.

My partner and I went under the e-way to the lake last Sat. The weeds didn't seem to be a problem. In fact everywhere we went the weed beds were managable.

I haven't been there at all this year.
A friend of mine was there last week, and he said that they had treated the lake for weeds about two weeks ago.

So much water.  So many lures.  So little time.

Bender, Was that you I was talking to @ the launch? I had the Power-Pole... :)

We went around camering some spots and I wasn't really impressed... A lack of weeds and the water was very very cloudy (I'm sure is has to do with weed killer for the new big park?)

It gets tough out there in the summer, especially after they cut and treat the weeds.  Find the deep weeds (11-13 feet of water) and you will find fish.  Sometimes you have to work for the fish, but when you find them, it will be well worth it.  And, honestly, there is always a population of fish that stay shallow.  Don't be afraid to throw baits into 6" of water, even if your temp gauge is reading 80+...

Duane, it wasn't me. I was in the white Stratos fishing around the main old lake. I went out of the East launch and thought you guys came out of the West one. I wondered what you were doing out there, how far could you see on the camera?
I was trying to fish deeper waters in search of bigger fish, but didn't find them there.

I did see you in the Stratos....

I couldn't see more then 4'-5' out, but I did find plenty of Walleye and Panfish in 12-13'' FOW...

Thanks JC....
