Just rigged my frog rods for tonight and was thinking about this event.    Sunday August 30th from 7:00 to 12:00. Sounds good to me.  Maybe do a 10.00 entry fee with 5.00 a boat going  to BB4B.  Just want to make it a fun event.

Does not look like there are any tournaments that  weekend that I can see.

I'm in if schedules align.  I fished frogs at Kent last week from my Kayak.  Did OK - 4 landed, lots of strikes.  Nothing large.  Lot's of pads on the shallow west side.  Should only get better.

whoops the 29th is a Saturday, dartag is retired so the his calendar might be a bit off these days, as one fishing day after another after another can get very stressful, hahaha

dartag

Yep  The days just run together anymore.  Sunday the 30th sound better.

dartag

I fixed it.  Hope Sunday is ok with everyone.

The 30th is the final day of Bassmaster Elite Series on St. Clair just in case anyone planned on attending.  Even then, if you finish the tournament at 12:00PM, you'll still have until 3:00PM to get there for the weigh in.  Sounds like a good day.  Frog tourney in the morning, elite weigh-in in the afternoon.

Does that mean a $25 entry fee?

dartag

I want to keep it at 10.00 so it is about fun.  5.00 to B and the other to big bass of the day. You only weigh 1 fish.   If you get 2 family members fishing 50.00 is a little steep for a fun event.

djkimmel

Is it $10 per PERSON, or $10 per TEAM?

I should be at the Bassmaster event so I'm not sure I can fish this though Derek has shown interest so we might fish it...

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

dartag

In the BB4B events everyone pays an entry fee and weighs 1 fish.  Big fish wins the pot. For this event it is Frogs Only.   So it would be 10.00 per person.  The main idea is to fish, have fun and raise some money for a someone who needs it.

Mojo

Sooo I'm a co angler, and love fishing with like 5 of you...... So I guess I'll go with whoever claims me and doesn't mind getting thwapped in the dome with a frog at least once accidentally  :o
Thanks Dan for bringing year round Catch and Release to Michigan

YpsiBass

If it's on Kent, I'll be a non-boater too :P
