Move went fine. The new server is much faster. Which is good!

I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

So as for being a non-boater first timer here, what do the veterans think would be essential for us to bring besides rods, tackle, and doughnuts? Just looking to get prepared.

Sunglasses and sun screen if you need it
And I'd bring rain gear, My last boat you needed it no matter what

Heard the Fish are shallow these days

Does anyone have a link for the Golden Rule weigh board needed?  I found a couple just want to make sure I get the right one so I'm not asking everyone if they have an extra...like previous years...

Firefighter Jeff

Sorry I haven't provided a link but you want........  Gator Grip

    Golden Rule
    Weighmaster
Largemouth Bass

Gator Grip site had it as a GG-51    They generally run $22 - $24

Jefferson, bring some rain gear. Even if it does not rain if its windy you will get splashed.

Also search the site for Firefighter Jeff's video on how to remove an embedded hook in your skin. You can never be too prepared.

Double checked the list today and we have 1 more boater than non-boater for the people who aren't already paired up.

It's not my video but I have done it out on St. Clair a couple times.  I'll just pass out my cell number.  LOLOLOL  On the water hook extraction.   :)

Definitely wear rain gear. I took my coat off, and on the ride back we half speared a wave, as Goetsch puts it, and I was a very wet guy.......in the middle of the boat. Don't be tough. Wear your rain gear. Let me just add, wear it right side up as well. It fits better that way!

Ypsi, you don't have Mr Kimmel on either list. If he's non boater, that evens it up, unless the dude shows.

There are usually drop outs as the event nears.  As long as its close no worry.  Like I said if there are to many boaters I will go fun fish.

You can compete for those big dollars by yourself Dartag.   :)

I had almost as much fun flipping largemouth in the canals last year as catching smallies.  But I know everyone comes to st clair to catch small mouth.  I just want to make sure everyone is in a boat.

Yes I do.

Was it always there?  Are you messing with me? Do I need to learn how to read, or get my eyes checked?

I haven't modified the post today.  I checked this morning again after your message and thought "I should post something snarky", but decided against it.
