This is a tale of two lakes. Intertwined lakes, in Barry County, Michigan. Where somehow the water has gone away. Upper and Lower Crooked Lakes, both near and dear to me, are suffering from the lowest water levels I've seen in the 35+ years I've been fishing them.

The WaveSpin Reel fishing picture contest 2013 #4 starts now on GreatLakesBass.com!! This Wavespin Reel Picture Contest 2013 #4 starts today Monday, 10/07/2013 and runs for 6 weeks until 11:59PM Friday November 15, 2013. Contest #4 is the fall and final WaveSpin Reel Picture Contest of 2013.

This is your chance to show off your pictures and win an absolutely FREE brand new WaveSpin Reel of your choice from their website.

How to Enter
  1. Upload a picture to the GreatLakesBass.com Image Gallery through November 15, 2013. You can upload to a generic category or to your personal MyGallery member picture gallery.1 Attached pictures don't qualify for the WaveSpin Reel Picture Contest - they can't be rated.
  2. After you upload your new picture to the Image Gallery, copy the 'BB Medium Image Code' for that picture and come back here to paste the code into a post below within this contest thread stating that you are entering that picture into this WaveSpin Reel Contest 2013 #4. Don't start a new thread! Paste it into this post thread. Asking your fellow GreatLakesBass.com members to click on, view and rate your picture is a good idea too!

How to Win
The winner will be chosen for the picture entered in this thread that gets the most and highest average ratings in the picture gallery with most number of views being the tiebreaker. The 'BB Medium Image Code' will display your picture here and allow members to click the picture and go right to the image gallery location where they can look at, comment on and rate your picture. You will probably want to add to your post here some information about your picture and why members would want to go rate it to try to get as many ratings as you can. Past winners have been social persons who even ask their friends  and family (age 13+) to sign up on GreatLakesBass.com and rate their picture! (hint)

Additional Information

  • Any member can rate a picture whether they are personally eligible to upload their own pictures or not.
  • You can only rate any one picture one time.
  • You cannot rate your own picture.
  • You can also use other methods to ask members to visit your picture on the image gallery and rate it such as getting other people to join GreatLakesBass.com and have them go to your picture and rate it, including using your social contacts on sites like Facebook, Twitter, etc.

Please don't PM a bunch of members unsolicited to ask them but you can contact your friends on the forum and ask them to rate your picture. Send them to this thread and ask them to click on your picture to rate it. You can also share your picture through Facebook, Twitter and other online social links through the AddThis buttons below each picture in the Image Gallery! Ties not decided by the criteria above will be decided by the person who entered their picture in this contest thread first.

You can enter more than one picture. The earlier you enter, the higher you are in this thread and the more time you have to get ratings!!

Members, please check out this thread. Click on and rate pictures that you like. Your ratings are confidential.

The winner will visit the WaveSpin Reel website and tell me which reel they want. WaveSpin will ship the brand new shiny FREE fishing reel to the winner! Simple and easy as that! Enter away and WIN! Good luck!!

This is an example of the 'BB Medium Image Code' (the winning picture "Portage lk. August 2013 - First trip out since surgery in June." from the 2013 contest #3) that will show your picture and allow people to click on it, view it and rate it (members only).

I don't limit myself in that way. Some anglers have to concentrate real hard to get their picture. And some just want you to 'hurry up, take the picture!!' so they can get back to fishing ::)

All kinds of reasons. But it never hurts to remind people to smile.

I like the color of that picture in the fog. I wonder if Bobby Lane would want to share the reel if you win it with a picture of him?? :)

If I by some strange reason win with that pic, you can get ahold of Zona, and he can get ahold of Bobby Lane. Then when he gets back to you, you can ask him. If you talk to him, ask him not to fish my spots anymore. Lol!!

That was a tournament day. All business on those days my friend.

Firefighter Jeff

If you're proud enough of the fish to take a picture to record for prosperity then you should be smiling !!!!!    ;D

You're right Jeff. After the day we had, I should have been smiling. We had one fish in the livewell for almost 7 hours, and finally found some fish. Took 5th place and won the big smallie pot. I think I was just relieved that the day was over.

djkimmel

I'm cutting you some slack... :) Good job and thanks for entering!! Work on those friends.
