Move went fine. The new server is much faster. Which is good!

I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

Fished Burt, Mullett, & Indian River Thursday and Friday. Water temp was 69 in both lakes, wind was flat calm Thurs and much stronger Fri.  Caught 3 over 5 pounds Thurs. on 3 different baits with the biggest going 5.6 and then proceeded to get a butt whoopin yesterday only managing to get a nice walleye who thought he was a smallie. It's amazing to me what a difference one day can make. I saw a few smallies cruising around but just couldn't get them to bite. Threw everything at them and I did explore some deeper water points/humps but never got a bite & the wind made it tough to stay on a spot. I need Ott Defoe to give me his Minn Kota Ultrex! Although I've fished Mullett many times, it was nice to get out on Burt and also explore the river a little.

Thanks for the report.  We are headed up there this weekend.  Any advice on where to start?  Likely hitting Mullett first.  First time fishing there.

Try off the end of the rockiest points for bass that haven't moved in yet if you aren't seeing bass. There are boulders out deeper that some of the bass hold by many parts of the year.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

Thanks for the input.  Much appreciated.  Will post a report on Sunday night when we get back.

Wags.

I would say Live Nightcrawler in the Indian River.  Sounds like that is where the state record came from.

Naw. That won't work twice... :D
