I helped a friend of mine rebuild the transom on a boat very much like that one last spring. He refinished the entire boat and dropped a 50 hp Merc on. The thing flat out flies. Very fast holeshot. I haven't rode in it yet but he had it on Lobdell once last summer when I was out fishing and according to my gps he was running about 50-51 mph, but it was getting a little squirrely on him so he didn't push it harder.

He loves it, his wife hates it. Her idea of a boat ride is a cruise on a pontoon.
