Move went fine. The new server is much faster. Which is good!

I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

My partner and I will be going to the East Bay the last weekend in August looking for smallies.  Any info on where to start and what to use would be great.  Is there any salmon action this time of year?  We're from the Holland-Port Sheldon area and will be staying in The Shores condos of Grand Traverse Resort.

Thanks for any help,
Scott

Yuba area is loaded with boulders and has been  constant this year. Bottom end of the  east bay is also good.  Directl across from yuba is called the wall. sharp drops where you will find suspended fish.  North of  crestwell road there is a ledge  system  heading out to deep water and all around  old mission is scattered gravel and boulders.   Most times i stick with  moving baits to find the active fish. Temps are  getting up there so they might be a tad lathargic by the time ya get here.  Tubs of course aroudnt he boulders work excelent.     For salmon the same spots will apply . Look for them in the 90 to 150 range suspended

If you head out of the harbor @ Elk Rapids, simply run north a mile or two, look for the dark green patches (weeds) in 20+ fow with the boulders scattered around and go sight fishing!  Or just play on the boulders and drops from 12'-15' to 20'-25'.  Crankbaits were fun 2 weekends ago... I miss the Bay already!

Thanks for all in info guys!!  Like I said, it won't be until the end of the month, but I'll be printing all this stuff off to take a long.  My partner and I are taking our wives up to Grand Traverse for a long weekend ( my 40th b-day), so what better way to celebrate than to fish all day knowing your wives are hanging by the pool, shopping, or at the spa while we're tearing up smallies.
