Inland Waterway Bass Fishing Closure Defeated

Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

If you are coming to the 'trout tournament' Saturday night at the close of the Ultimate Fishing Show, look for everyone around 9 PM at Lake Ultimate. Further details will be provided at Lake Ultimate shortly after. If you don't know what I'm talking about, please PM me for details.

If you are coming back just for the event on Saturday, they stop charging for parking about 8:30 PM. Park on the west side of the building where the exhibitors park and come in the exhibitor's entrance near the northwest corner of the building behind all the trailers. Tell the person at the exhibitors door you are just there for the special event.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.
