Saturday's Kent Lake Open (Fishers of Men) was a slugfest!!!!  Congratulations Sean Shiklanian and Mike Whear who won the event with a whopping 17 + pound bag, anchored by a monster 5.57 Largemouth, good for $660.  In second place with an impressive 16 plus pound sack was the team of Ron Foley and Terry Blankenship, pulling down a check for $350.  (Ron Foley is the owner of South Street Tackle in Belleville, MI)  Rounding out the top three were Kevin Barrows and Marcel Veenstra who weighed in more than 15 pounds to secure a top three finish and got their entry fee back ($150). Congratulations and thanks to all who participated; everyone had fish, the weather was perfect, and the fellowship was excellent.

I would also like to thank our sponsors who made the event possible, expecially Tom and Dave Taylor ( Case Plastics ; http://caseplastics.com   AND   Ron Foley (owner) of South Street Tackle : http://detroit.citysearch.com/profile/5175812/belleville_mi/south_street_tackle_sporting.html?publisher=smx_noncust&reference_id=1&placement=yp )
Not only did these guys provide give-aways, but they also supported Fishers of Men, by fishing the event.  Thanks a bunch guys.
Other sponsors of the event included Brian McCarter : Nemesis Baits and Wayne Carpenter : Xtreme Bass Tackle Thank you guys for all of you help supporting Fishers of Men
