I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Im going out to Whitmore Lake wednesday and it is my first time on the lake. Im going on someone elses boat and am only taking 3 rods. What should I bring with me since I have limited space? Any info would be helpful. Oh and yah it was rough out on Detroit river sunday. I was out with bassassain in his 16 footer and it nuts. It was a great sight watching all the bass boats zoom by us while we were fishing near elizebeth park. At one point I think his boat did a complete flip in the water. Tshoot and shorts was a great choice of clothing.  Thanks

There are both smallies, and large mouths in Whitmore.
Lures that work on Whitmore.

Stick Worms (most colors of green work OK)
Pre rigged KD Magnum bass buster purple worm, / a white stripe
Tubes ( G3 and Canadian Mist)
Blue Chrome rattle traps
Deep Diving cranks.
Spinnerbait

Choose your rods accordingly.

Also, there is a hefty supply of pike in Whitmore.  Occasionally you can pick up a Walleye too.
So much water.  So many lures.  So little time.

Thanks, Im looking forward to this because this is my first time on a bass boat. Im used to takin my dads 19ft lowe, hes a walleye guy so its a great boat for that but Ive bass fished since I was probably 4 and I think its about to to experiance a ranger. I mean I cant even explain how excited I am, next to my son being born this is up there.

Hmmm...first child vs. bass fishin'...tough call.  Both are the highlights of my life.  Ditto what Rick said...fish the weededges and any structure.  Dosck might not be too bad as well...depending on wind and sun.
Good luck.

well,   how did you do? catch any monsters?

We caught about 15 or so but no keepers. The fish wouldnt bite on anything but white it was bizzare. White pop-r, white spinner, white tube and  he used some case soft jerk i dont recall the name he swears by it. I was bit off by at least 5 pike, one was near 40inches. I was killing soft jerkbait and there were 3 pike at the same time fighting for it. The boater had one quality fish he said was 3 or 4 but it broke off under his boat.  The lake had only a few pads and held fish all day but couldnt by a keeper. I would have liked to dropshot in about 18ft but it was a no go. He wanted to be off the water at 1pm. Not what Im used to but boater is 67, at his age any water time is golden. All in all I have decided if I cant ever afford a bass boat there will be one waiting for me in heaven. I had an absolute blast.

I hear ya.

I'm just wondering.  Bass boat seats are pretty low to the deck.  Each year it gets just a little harder to get up out of em.  I'm hoping that I get a BB in this life time before I'm too old to thoroughly enjoy it..
