I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Hey guys I'm looking at a champion that has an 03 Yamaha ox 66 on it. It's a 200 hp.  R they any good? Thanks

djkimmel

Dependable tough outboard usually.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

I have a 2004 200hp ox66 on my stratos and it has been a good motor so far. When I was looking for boats I did a lot of research and read that the ox66 motors were good. It was the hdpi's that they had problems with.

korean_bassmaster

Ok.  From what I found as well most of the reviews saI'd that they r a good motor.  I did read tho that someone said it's a salt water eeries, is that tru?  How r theh on gas and oil?

djkimmel

They are designed for saltwater. Someone else who has run the motor will have to answer your other questions. I've never personally run one or been in a boat with one at least that I can remember in recent years.

They love gas and oil, I have an 05 200hp OX66 on my skeeter and it has been a good motor.

Firefighter Jeff

Who cares about the gas and oil??  If you wanna play you have to pay.  LOLOLOL  I've never had two motors of the same horse power so I can't judge the gas and oil.  I had a 2002 150 OX66.  Ran great !!!
