Went to east bay sunday night at 7:30 for an hour to see what was up with the smallies.  surface temp at center road launch was 64 and 62 to the south.  I only made it to one of my spots, which is shallow (roughly 2ft deep).  I found 15 nice bass on beds already most looked to be around 3lbs.  Since I just wanted to check the area out I put my tm on medium and fished a spinnerbait.  by 9 I had 3 smallies around 3lbs, one probably 2 and had lost about 5-6 with one that was most likely around 6lbs 5 feet from the boat.  all in all not a bad trip for an hour of fishing.  havent been out since but have noticed two bass boat trailers at the launch a couple days in a row (for you downstaters thats above avg. for 2 days).
