Inland Waterway Bass Fishing Closure Defeated

Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

Hit a couple northern Michigan lakes yesterday with McFish.  We had a great time!  Portage Lake should be a lot of fun next Saturday for the Madwags.  You'll be missing out if you don't make it up there!!

Addicted to fishing.  All the time, any species, anywhere!!  Especially in West Michigan!!!

It's definitely on up north.  The 5 biggest in our photo would have gone about 16-17 lbs (we were not on Portage).  Last weekend it took Edyer and his partner 22+ pounds of Portage Lake smallies to win, and they weighed in a 6.4 pounder!!  That's some nice fish!!
