Major Victory for Michigan Hunting AND Fishing
« on: September 01, 2014, 01:42:09 AM »

The Michigan House Passes Pro-Hunting Citizen Initiative Into Law by a vote of 65-43 on August 27, 2014. The Scientific Fish and Wildlife Conservation Act (SFWCA) is now law, rendering two anti-hunting, anti-scientific fish and wildlife management referendums in November moot.

56 Republicans and 9 Democrats voted Yes rejecting the manipulation and misleading tactics by the Washington DC anti-hunting, anti-fishing radical animal rights Humane Society of the United States and their allies to make it easier for them to referendum our fishing and hunting rights away. The vote sent a strong message that Michigan will manage our natural resources by sound science, not emotion and false marketing campaigns.

The Michigan Senate had already passed the SFWCA by a 23-10 vote on August 13th (22 Republicans, 1 Democrat voted Yes). As an unchanged citizen's initiative passed by both chambers our Act becomes law without the need of the Governor's signature.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.
