Move went fine. The new server is much faster. Which is good!

I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

My local club held a tournament on St. Clair on Saturday. I had a couple areas that I prefished and one that had produced some good numbers of keepers with a few big fish mixed in.
In typical St. Clair fashion, the area that I thought would get me an early limit didn't work out in the morning. My co-angler got one right away and we had a couple dinks but they just weren't there as expected. Unfortunately we watched people boat fish around us.
We ran down to the mile roads and tried a couple spots but nothing and others weren't catching em either.
We head back to the first spot and started south of the main area and I picked up a couple keepers on back to back casts. We were fishing a large hump around 9-12 ft. Added one more before we decided to head out to deeper water.
Found a floatella out in the deeper spots and I put a 4.5lb in the boat and thought we were going to load up on them. They were different class of fish there but scattered and holding on isolated weeds. I was able to boat another 4.2 lb.
My co-angler missed a big one. He wasn't dropshotting like I was and was dragging tubes.

I came in 2nd with 15+ and was beat by a bag of canadian deep smallies.

Biggest fish weighed was a 5.5lb smallie - had a 4.7lb largemouth weighted but we penalized him 1lb for bringing in a green fish!

The rain seemed to stay on us and the wind swirled from all directions to make it hard to stay on spots. In land didn't see rain but we got wet!

Had a similar experience fishing the CFB on Saturday.  We caught a 4lber on the first cast in the flotilla spot then picked up a few here and there.  Decided to run to anchor to get out of the storm for a while.  Nothing in anchor.   Went back to the flotilla and ground it out.  Had around 14 lb and lost two nice ones at the boat that would have culled us up to 17-18lb.

Ended up skipping weigh in as we figured we'd need 18-19 to be in the money.  Mini won again with 21 3 lb

Tried a variety of presentations but the only thing working was the dropshot
