Second weekend in July fishing get together

If anyone is interested, about 6 of us go to my cabin in Hale for the weekend to fish.  This is not at all formal.  We have room for a couple more boats if anyone wants in.  Rules, No girls, best to leave them home, lol.  We typically fish 3 lakes a day then go to the bar at night.  We have a bunch of friendly side bets.  We stay at the cabin because it's free.  We have always tried to fish lakes that none of us has been on before but it's becoming hard, we've fished over 60 of them so far.

awsome.  we've fished Oscoda.  We used to try just to do lakes that none of us had never fished before but it's got to the point that we'd have to drive an hour.  3 years ago we fished Sand Lake for a second time because the first time we caught 0 fish.  We again caught 0 fish.  the following year I met someone who lives on it.  He said its so shallow that it freezes solid and therefore has no fish unless people let them go.  I don't know if its true, but I dont think we'll try it again

yep, we did.  i dont remember how well.  we have one of those northern michigan map books up there with all of the details.  i remember Vaughn.  We found dead bass with a 14 incher in its mouth, took the little one out and the big one was just over 6 and dead.  caught 2 master angler rock bass last year on Van Etten. George lake in rose city had some hogs too.  Long lake was horrible, but that doesnt stop us from going to long lake inn every year.  last yeear we ventured all the way to Hubbard, that could be amazing I think.  Only 2 fish but they were both over 5lb smallies.  Id also like to try the big water but Mark always brings a row boat so we dont chance it.  My cabin is right on West Londo, so for no reason at all we never fish it, lol.
