Quietly, without even knowing it, I learned many nuances of crank bait fishing on this lake this year. It is the sister lake to Cass, without all the pressure.

The lakes were formed by the same glaciers, have the same drop offs, sand bars, water temps, smallmouth and large mouth and pan fish... The difference seems to be pressure. These fish have never seen a moving bait. So where we know they are, aka spinnerbait, I began to use various crank baits. I havent figured out what changes are needed due to weather, water temps, and getting deep water bass to bite, just color, weed type, and wobble in 4 - 8 fow.  having active fish speed the learning curve.

Anyone else know about crank baiting that can help me or will the fish tell me more ? What works best on Cass so I can apply it to this lake ?

Thanks.
Thanks Dan for bringing year round Catch and Release to Michigan
