Upper Crooked Lake

6am-Noon

Water Temp: 73*F

When our number was called we made a very short 100 yard run to the first point on the north western side of the lake, we quickly hooked up on a squeaker keeper on a white Super Fluke in 3-4ft inside of a cut near emerged timber. We headed over to the east side of the landing but didn't land anything but a few more pike, which seemed to be the theme of the day. Moving back to the western side of the lake on the southern end we hooked up on a 2-11 using a Brown Craw Jackall TN70 in 4-6ft on a steady retrieve, while this was going on my father had hit 12 keeper size pike.

The final fish came within 10 minutes of the end of the event in a drain near the landing on the western side; this fish went around 2-10, also caught on the white Super Fluke in 1-2ft near the mouth of the drain.

A big congrats to Brian on his 4-4, hope you enjoy your brand spankin' new Advantage spinnerbait! Also, Kurt, have fun with your new PK Ridgeline crankbait!

On June 24th we will be fishing Gun Lake, launching from the STATE LAUNCH, if you do not have your sticker for your license plate I HEAVILY advise getting one, they cost $10 and allow you free access to Gun Lake state ramp and the Austin Lake ramp. Feel free to park at the county ramp and use your boat to meet us at the state ramp if you do feel so inclined.
