This is a tale of two lakes. Intertwined lakes, in Barry County, Michigan. Where somehow the water has gone away. Upper and Lower Crooked Lakes, both near and dear to me, are suffering from the lowest water levels I've seen in the 35+ years I've been fishing them.

Hello all,

I was looking into getting some kind of security system for my bass boat which is stored in my drive way year round.
Since its a pain to load and unload tackle, rods and all that stuff everytime..... I decided to start looking into a security system.

The boat is covered at all times and all the rod lockers do have built in locks but i'm looking for a little more.
So far I have looked on [REMOVED - see No Links Policy List] and found the Lock R security bar and the Bandit Buster.
I was hoping for any ideas opinions ect.

The Lock R looks good  but after buying 2 bars and 2 of everything else for front and back decks it get a bit expensive.

Any thoughts are appreciated

I have a 19.5 Ranger Bass Boat (basic set up) in case that helps.

That alarm system they sell at D&R Sports seems to be pretty popular. It might be worth the extra peace of mind in the long run. I don't think it is as involved as putting in the bars. The best we can always do is make it a little harder so the creeps will pass us by.

Good neighbors who watch out for each other a little helps too.

Well... then someone has to move! I forgot to look up the name of that security system. It's the one with the remote control. I think it can text your phone too or something like that?
