big bear lake near lewiston

Fished big bear this weekend at the cottage.  Saw lots of empty beds but enough smallies still on to keep it fun.  Water was low, clear and 67 degrees. Not many big ones.  Biggest went 18" which for that lake is a good size.  I spent more time casting for my son so he could fish.  It was priceless watching him haul em in.  Usually I can catch 40-50  weekend but the last few years the numbers are down.  Not sure if its the 2 camp grounds on the lake with campers keeping everything or low water making it easier for the catch and keepers to pick em off the beds.  My deep water bed areas still produced though.  As soon as I get the pics i will post.  Most fishnfeel to dropshot worms and wacky worms.
